FR. VÍCTOR SALOMÓN
Was born in Venezuela. It belongs to the Diocesan Operative Priests, an international and public clerical association dedicated to the vocational youth ministry and to the priestly formation centered on the Eucharist. (www.sacerdotesoperarios.org)
He was ordained a priest in 1998 in Caracas, Venezuela.
He received a degree in Sociology in 1992, a degree in Theology in 1997, and in Sacred Theology in 2004.
Father Salomón was parish priest of María Madre de la Iglesia from 1998 to 2001.
From 2002 to 2005, he worked in priestly formation.
From 1998 to 2005 he was a member of the Governing Council of the Diocesan Operative Priests in Venezuela until he was sent to serve in the United States.
As a member of the Diocesan Operative Priests, he has taught courses to promote vocations. Father Solomon is an expert in family communication and has taught inculturation courses to lay leaders.
He has also given retreats to lay people, seminarians, priests and religious. He has served as the spiritual director of singles, married couples and men discerning the call to the priesthood. He was also a professor of theology in a variety of fields.
Father Solomon is deeply concerned about the loss of human life caused by abortion, especially in the Hispanic community in the United States.
